Jose A. Dela Cruz was born as Deaf from his hearing parents  Servillano and Monica. Jose grew up in Montalban, Rizal then married Avelina with whom he had three daughters  -Juliana, Ria and Joyce Dela Cruz. Jose’s wife and all three daughters are all Deaf.

 

Jose studied at the Philippines School for the Deaf (PSD) where he graduated as Valedictorians in both elementary and High School. Given his outstanding performance,

Jose became the first Deaf qualified to teach the Hearing Impaired in Philippine History. He taught Special Education since at PSD.
